Synthesis

In my classroom the way that I choose to teach vocabulary words is I want to implement a bell ringer when class begins.  So during the first 5 minutes of class have a questions that they have to answer about health or vocabulary words that they need to define.  This way I can teach them vocabulary words and by writing the word down with the definition will reinforce the students learning new vocab words. 

The way that I will support my students in writing texts and producing other representations is having students prepare oral reports.  Also, with the oral reports I will have them prepare a PowerPoints or Prezi to represent a health topic. 

I will integrate digital technologies in my classroom by having health apps and health websites that I will present to the class and have them do classroom assignments with the digital technology.  I can have the students also go to choosemyplate.gov to teach them about MyPlate and to teach them about power tracker.  This power tracker will help the students keep track of their daily intake of food and see how nutritious they are.
